OUR ORGANIZATION:
The Grainger County Humane Society (GCHS) is a nonprofit organization formed in May 2001.
In 2023, we have placed over 330 cats, kittens, dog, and puppies into FURever homes. The annual operating expense for GCHS is approximately $105,000. We do not receive funds from the county, federal government or humane organizations. Our efforts are financed solely by non-profit and corporate grants, donations from individuals and businesses, adoption fees, and money acquired at local festivals and fundraisers. All of our efforts are accomplished by a very small group of unpaid volunteers.
