- Active Member - A person who pays $25.00 or more
annually. Active members are entitled to vote at the meetings and hold
office if he/she is 18 years of age and has been a member of the GCHS
for one month.
- Associate Member - A person who pays less than
$25.00 annually.Associate members are not entitled to voting privileges
and may not hold office.
- Family Members - Families that pay $50.00 or more
annually. A family membership includes two adults and any children in
the immediate family. Each adult family member is entitled to vote at
the meetings and hold office. Children under the age of 18 years old
are not eligible to vote or hold office.
- Lifetime Member - An Active member who makes a
one-time payment of $500.00 or more. Lifetime Members are entitled to
vote at the GCHS meetings and to hold office.
- Honorary Member - A person voted into the
position by the Active Members. Honorary Members have no duties or
responsibilities; they do not pay membership fees; and they are not
entitled to voting privileges or to hold office.
No person or an associate who derives his/her livelihood from the
purchase, sale, use, care, or commercial exploitation of animals; no
person or an associate who is involved with animal hoarding or puppy
mills; no person convicted of cruelty to animals, animal abuse, or
neglect; and no person or associate who has engaged in blood sports
involving animals will be accepted as a member of the GCHS.
No person having been convicted of, or pleaded guilty to, or entered
a plea of no contest to any felony charge or to any violation of any
federal or state laws or city ordinances relating to force, violence,
sexual, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor, controlled substances or
controlled substance analogues will be accepted as a member of the GCHS.
No otherwise qualified individual shall be excluded from membership
on the basis of age, race, gender, disability, national origin, religion
or sexual orientation.
